The European campaigns have clearly masked an underlying problem

Nicked from another thread:

He needs to be judged on the league, the past 45 games record is:

Won 12, drawn 9, lost 24

Instead of the ICF it’s more IDGAF these days!

Too many middle class city boys drinking craft beers and trading on eToro.

Re: Who is to blame at West Ham?
No he means the West Ham that lost 20 (twenty) league games last season, have just sold their best player and seem unable to replace him.

Beating a bunch of pub teams and then lucking out vs fiorentina is small comfort.

Really! You mean a team that qualified for Europe, reached the semi final; qualified again, the won the trophy and qualified again, would have the fans rioting?
Bangs head on desk.

I recon if you own a premier league club everyone wants a slice of the money. To avoid being fucked you’ll need some pretty strong characters.

Re: Who is to blame at West Ham?
I agree to a certain extent Pents but you have to admit that Sullivan really is an organisational disaster area. Being clever at economics and peddling porn doesn't make you a decisive manager of people.

I think we could all suffer him if he just left his cash in there as an investment and stopped trying to run the club which he clearly is not qualified to do. That's why he employs Brady to sort out the mess he leaves in his wake.

He's appointed more recruitment people than we seem to have as coaches yet we can't buy anyone! We knew Rice was going and we'd likely get £100m for a long time now. Things should have been lined up and ready to go...

Re: Who is to blame at West Ham?
As much as our chairmen are cowboyish in behaviour, I don't understand why anyone can blame people who have invested hundreds of millions in the club we love. Moyes destroys our famed way of playing and tells us to stick it. Doesn't he feel he owes us a little for giving him the chance to resurrect his failing career. Blaming us is horrendous. It ain't our fault players don't want to join and players want to leave. I'd have more respect for him if he leaned into that a bit more.

Re: Who is to blame at West Ham?
Ask David Moyes and he will says its is the fans.
Never understood his comments about us being negative towards him when he loves negative football and the only thing keeping him in his job last year was the European run, well that and Sullivan not having the balls or money to sack him

Quite. When the current clowns have gone we’ll be here bemoaning the new set.

The owners . Mostly Sullivan , take the credit for a first trophy , take the criticism for the rest of the visionless mess.

Re: Who is to blame at West Ham?
It's obviously the owners.
As fans all we can do is try and guide them by showing our acceptance, pleasure or displeasure. It's at times a very painful process as we are mostly not listened to.
We are in fact very good supporters as when it goes well we really are very appreciative. When it goes tits up we step in and sort it out, whatever it takes is done.
Everyone else may walk away and do.
We never do.

Re: Who is to blame at West Ham?
Moyes is to blame.

He picks the team and sets the tactics. We want to watch good football. We know from bitter experience we only win something every now and then, it's the West Ham way, but we've always prided ourselves on playing entertaining, flowing football with flair players in the team.

Moyesball has taken that completely away from us. Our football is shite every fucking week.

And before anybody comes on here crowing about how 'Moysie' just won our only trophy since '80 & therefore we should be grateful - we played pub teams until the final then really struggled to turn them over. If it wasn't for a flash of flair from Paqueta and Bowen we looked fucked.

No - the blame lies with Moyes. He, as he goes to great lengths to tell us, is the manager.

So take responsibility for being the manager, a shit manager, and fuck off out of our club son.

We could have been Wigan or Derby or Portsmouth or Charlton supporters in a parallel universe. Or even Leeds.
Fact is if you don't want to give any money to the club you don't have to. Not sure in an Arab world what we can really do unless we are owned by Arabs.

Re: Who is to blame at West Ham?
Moyes. He's to blame.

The owners have plenty of faults but they have spent the cash. Last summer being a prime example of it.
To all extents theyve made it available at other times too but the dour Scot hasn't been inclined to spend it.

Without a doubt our loyalty has been exploited. When we did get a bit tasty at the Burnley home game things did start to happen.

Re: Who is to blame at West Ham?
I make One Iron totally right (although ironically him and his pals are most to blame, being the loyalest of the loyal), we're still steered by East End passion which means never grass and circle the wagons when cunts from other clubs try and take the piss.

Look at Chelsea, a joke club until the oligarch millions poured in. Owned by a tramp in Ken Bates with 'crowds' of about six or seven thousand for home games in the eighties and early nineties. All that disinterest led to a place where they dominated the league for years.

The cunts that run us now and in the past have always seen us as a cow they can milk without feeding. We're 'customers' involved in a 'business' when they know full well that when it comes to West Ham we see it more like a church. You could no more support another team as change religion.

So what do we do about it? I honestly don't know.
